CHRONICLES OF NARNIA : THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW (THE WRONG DOOR)

THE STORY BELONGS TO Sir C.S Lewis.
(I re-wrote it with my own words and changed the characters.)

an option, O foreign adventurers. decide and choose one option.
ring the bell, and face the danger of precarious,
or keep the curious, to vanish sanity,
of what would have happened if you did...

This is a story about something that happened long ago when your grandparents were kids. This story is important because it reveals how all the comings and goings between our own world and the land of Narnia first began. Interesting, isn’t it? I know some of you hate history. so do I. We’re not much different. but this time, I’ll tell a history that I guarantee won’t make you bored or sleepy.

In those days, Mr. Sherlock Holmes was still living in Baker Street and Bastable families were still searching for a hidden treasure in Lewinsham Road. in those days, if you were a boy, then you had to wore a stiff Eton collar every day, and schools were usually more cruel than the present. But meals were nicer; and as for sweets, I won't tell you how cheap and good they were, because it’ll only make you drool in vain. and at that time, there lived in London a girl named Wendy Son.

She  lived in one of the houses in a long row of adjoining houses. in one morning, she was in the back garden when a boy scrambled up from the garden next door and put his head above the wall. Wendy was very surprised because up to that time, it had never been any children in the house, only Mr. Ash and Ms. Ash, they were siblings and mostly known as an old bachelor and old maid, living together. Wendy looked up, full of curiosity. The boy's face was very grubby. It was almost could not more dirty if he had first rubbed his hands on the ground, cried loudly, then dried his face with both of his hands. As a matter of fact, this was very nearly what he had been doing.

"hallo"  Wendy greeted the boy.

"hallo" replied the boy. "What’s your name?" he asked.

"Wendy" she answered. "and your name?" she asked back.

"Sehun" replied the boy.

"what a strange name." said Wendy in reproaching tone.

Sehun was somewhat offended "I think Wendy is more bizarre."

“no. Your name is the most bizarre.”  Wendy did not  want to be outdone.

“you’re a fine one to talk” cried Sehun irritably.

Wendy cleared her troath nervously "well, I'm certainly going to wash my face, which you need to do, especially after you ----" she had been going to say "after you've been bubbling" but she thought it won't be polite.

"Okay. I'm going to wash my face" Sehun spoke in a much louder voice, like he was so sad so that he  did not care about people knew he had been cried.

"but you're also going to do this" he continued, "if all of your previous days you lived in a countryside, had a pony and a river at the bottom of the garden, but at the end, they brought you to live in this dreadful slum cave"

“London is not a cave” Wendy assured him. but the boy was too angry to heard it. He continued his ravings.

"and if your father is away in India and you have to live with those insane people (his uncle and his aunt). who will want to? And especially if the reason is because they have to keep your mother because your mother is ill and will die ......" then his face began to form in such strange that commonly arise when you're trying to hold back tears.

"I didn’t know that. I'm sorry" Wendy spoke softly. then, because she hardly did not know what to say, she tried to distracted Sehun’s attention to encouraging topics.

“about Mr. Ash, is he that crazy? I mean... is he totally insane?” she asked stiffly.

"even if he’s not mad, he must have another mystery. He has a work space on the top floor and Aunt Letty says that I'm not allowed to go in there, it sounds suspicious, doesn’t it? then there is one more thing, whenever my uncle tries to say anything to me while eating , aunt Letty will immediately shuts him up. For example in the middle of last breakfast, she said 'you don’t have to worry about the boy, Andrew' or 'I'm sure Sehun doesn’t want to hear about it' or otherwise 'Sehun , don’t you wanna play outside?”” Sehun explained briefly.

“what thing that your uncle want to tell you?” Wendy curiosity asked.

"I have no idea, he is never able to talk a lot, but there's more intriguing. One night, in fact yesterday night, when I passed the bottom of the ladder to the attic, specifically when i was on my way to sleep, I'm sure I heard a scream." Sehun talked quitely.

“maybe he was holding up his crazy wife up there” Wendy guessed.

“yes, I've thought about that possibility.” Sehun added.

“or maybe he’s actually a counterfeit money maker” Wendy continued.

“or he might have been a pirate, like the man who is at the beginning of the book Treasure Island,
which is always hiding from his friends.” Sehun added.

“I’m excited!” Wendy shouted.

“You might argue that the house is interesting. but you won’t like it if you have to sleep there. Will you still like it if you must always lay awake listening for uncle Andrew’s footsteps creep along the corridor towards your house? just so you know, he has terrible eyes.” Said Sehun firmly.

so was the story of how Wendy and Sehun were getting know each other. and because it was still the beginning of the summer holidays and none of both went to sea that year, they met almost every day.
The most valuable reason of their adventure was because that summer was the coldest wet summer ever. This situation made them had to content themselves with the activities in the house, arguably, adventure inside the house. how much adventure can you do with a lump of wax in a big house, or row of houses? It must be so amazing. Wendy has long found that if you opened  a small particular door in the attic that shaped like a box at her house, we would find a water storage and a dark room behind, which you could enter with a little careful climbing. The dark room was like a long tunnel with brick wall on one side and a steep roof on the other side. At the roof, little tufts of light penetrated between the cavity-sockets.

There was no floor in that tunnel. we would have to step from rafter to rafter. and among them there were only plasters. if we step on these plasters, you would find yourself falling from the ceiling of the room below. Wendy used a small portion of the tunnel, exactly next to the water storage. she used it as a smugglers cave. she took some parts crate of old clothes, some broken kitchen chair pads, and other similar objects, and then spread it all over the rafters in order to formed a kind of floor. this was where she kept her money box containing various treasures, and also the stories that she was writing, and usually a few apples. she often secretly drank ginger beer there. Her old bottles made the place really looked  like a smugglers cave.

Sehun quite liked the cave. but he was not satisfied just by seeing it. he wanted to immediately begin the adventure excursions in the tunnel.

“Wendy, how long is this tunnel, actually? I mean, is it ends at the end of your house” he eyed at Wendy.

“no, the walls aren’t ended up to the roof of this house, but continue to elongate. I don’t know to what extent.” Said Wendy as she looked around.

“if so, we can roam as far as the length of this row of houses.” Sehun guessed.

“it seems so. and oh! Gee!” Wendy gasped.

“what?”

“we probably can sneak into other houses!”

“yes, and will be considered as robbers. No, thank you.” Sehun chuckled as he rolled his eyes.

“stop act knowingly!” Wendy grabbed Sehun’s collar. “i mean the house next to your house” she whispered as blinked her eyes twice.

“is there something interesting from that house?” Sehun asked stiffly.

Wendy got her hands rid of Sehun's collar. “the house is empty” she snorted, “daddy told me that the house has always been empty since we moved here.”

“it means we should try to see it” said Sehun vaguely.

if you heard him talking, you would not have guessed that in fact he was much more vibrant than he looked as he was thinking about the reasons why the house was empty. You surely will do the same thing if you stuck in such situation. so was Wendy. none of them were saying the word "haunted".  both felt that once an idea blazed, would be cowardly if they did not do it.

“so, will we try to step out our feet there now?” Sehun asked.

I'm in the game if you are” said Wendy glumly.

Sehun gave a great sniff as he eyed at Wendy “i’ll have a go by myself if you dont want to.”

“I'm not going to stay and wait.” Wendy snorted irritably.

“Okay if so. by the way, how can we know if we already at the house?” Sehun asked as he stepped his feet slowly.

they decided to be out of the box room and walked across it by walking as many steps required to moved from one rafter to another. This action was able to gave them estimate of how many rafters that must be passed to passed one room. they exaggerated approximately four rafters to estimated the hallway between the two attics at Wendy’s house, then an amount equal to the box-shaped space for the maid’s bedroom.

These calculations helped them figured out the length of a house. if they had been through that distance twice as far, they would arrive at the end of Sehun’s house. any door they encountered after that would bring them to the attic of the empty house.

“but somehow, I guess the attic we’re looking for isn’t completely empty” said Sehun firmly.

“do you even think there will be anything there?” Wendy asked as she shaked her head.

“I think there will be someone who lives quietly there, comes and goes at night with a lantern lit.” Sehun guessed.

He continued “we might find a gang of desperate criminals and get a reward for their capture. Practically, it’s impossible if a house has been empty for many years without any single mystery behind it.”

“according to daddy, the pipes in the house are definitely not functioning properly. that's why no one wants to occupy the house.” Wendy explained briefly.

Grown-ups always explain such boring things.” Sehun snorted as he pulled a long face.

at that time they were talking in the attic with afternoon sunlight instead of by candlelight in the Wendy’s smugglers cave. The more they discovered the tunnel, the more possibility about the house was haunted had gone away.

when finished measuring the attic, they took pencils and did the sums. Initially, both got different results, and even when they finally agreed with one result, it looked like they had not been calculating properly. they were so anxious to immediately begin the adventure.

“we must not emit any sounds” said Wendy as they both climbed up again to the back of the water storage.

because it is an important adventure, each of them brought a single candle. they were grateful because Wendy had a lot of inventory candles in her cave.

the state was so dark, dusty, and humid as they stepped from rafter to rafter without saying any single word, except when they were whispering "we already across the attic now" or "we have passed the half-way of this house"

they never stumbled and the candles were never extinguished. Then they finally reached a place where they could see a small door in the brick wall to the right of them. no lock neither or door knob attached because apparently the door was made to get in and not to come out, but there was a sort of grip, as is commonly found in the closet door, which they believed could be turned.

“can i open it” Sehun asked softly.

“if you're pleased.” Wendy nooded.

both felt the situation was getting to be serious, but none of them were willing to retreat. with a bit difficulty, Sehun pressed and turned the handle. the door swung open and the afternoon sun that suddenly burst out made their eyes blinked. then, along with a sense of surprise, they found that they were not looking at an abandoned attic, on the contrary, a well-appointed room. However, the room indeed seemed uninhabited.

It was dead silent and Wendy’s curiosity mastered her. She blew out her canldle, walked silently into that strange room. the room was shaped like an attic, but furnished in lounge style. each side of wall was lined by shelves and every corner of the shelves were filled with books. A fire was burning in the fireplace (in the beginning I've already mentioned that the summer was the coldest wet summer ever) and in front of the fireplace, there was a high-backed armchair with its back toward them.

Between the chair and Wendy, filling most of the space, there was a large table filled with various objects --- printed books, types of books that you could write in, as well as several bottles of ink, pens, candles, seals, and a microscope. but one thing that immediately attracted Wendy’s attention was a red wooden tray on which a few rings laid.

They were in pairs --- a yellow one paired with the green one, then a little space, and then another yellow one with another green one. the rings were not larger than normal rings, and nothing could distract anyone’s eyes from the objects because they were brightly shining. The most beautiful glowing things you can imagine. If Wendy was younger, she would have wanted to put one in her mouth.

The room was so quiet that you instantly heard the ticking clock. And yet, as Wendy now found, it was not absolutely quiet either. There was a faint buzzing sound --- a very, very faint sound. if the vacuum cleaner had been invented in those days, Wendy must have thought it was the sound of the vacuum cleaner which was being used far, far down there, apart a few rooms on several floors below. but the buzz was more fun than the sound of engine. more pitched, it just was so faint that you could hardly hear it.

“It is okay. no one’s here.” said Wendy over her shoulder to Sehun. She was speaking above a whisper.

shortly thereafter, Sehun walked into the room, blinked his eyes. his body looked dirty at all, as indeed Wendy was too.

“this is not good” said Sehun.

“this is definitely not an empty house. we'd better go before anyone comes.” He gasped.

“What do you think those are?” said Wendy, pointing at the coloured rings

“oh, come on.”  Sehun pulled Wendy’s arm as he walked toward the door, "the sooner we go, then -------“

he never finished his words for right at that moment, something happened. The high-backed chair in front of the fireplace suddenly moved and then stood up of it, like a demon pantonim out of a door under a stage, surprisingly figure of Uncle Andrew!

they were not in the empty house but in Sehun’s house and in the forbidden room!
“o-oo-oohh” both kids stuttered. They realized their mistake. They felt they ought to have known all along that they hadn't gone nearly far enough.

Uncle Andrew was tall and very thin. He had a long clean-shaven face with a sharply-pointed nose and extremely bright eyes and a great tousled mop of grey hair. Sehun wasn’t able to speak, because now Uncle Andrew looked a thousand times more horrible than before. Wendy wasn’t so frightened yet; but soon she was, for the first act Uncle Andrew did is to walked toward the door of the room, closed it, and locked it. then he turned around, stared at the two kids with his piercing eyes, and smiled, showing all his teeth.

“well now” he grinned. “my fool-silly-stupid-airhead sister will not be able to help you”

The action was not action that we expect will be done by adults. Wendy heart seemed want to jump out. She and Sehun began to walk backwards into the small door that they had been through before, but unfortunately, uncle andrew was just too fast compared to them. He was already be behind them, shut the door, and stood in the way. then he rubbed his hands and making his fingers crunched. He had nice-whitish-long fingers.

“i’m very pleased for your coming” he Said, “just as I need two children.”

“I beg you, Mr.Ash, it's been almost dinner time and I have to go home. would you please let us out?” said Wendy nervously.

“not yet.” He answered, “This opportunity is too good to pass up. I did want two children. so you see, I'm doing a great experiment. I've tested it on a hamster and it appeared to be successful. but the problem is, it can’t tell you anything, and you can’t explain the way back to it.”

“so Uncle Andrew, now is dinner time and they will soon be looking for us. you have to let us out.” Said Sehun firmly.

“Should I?” asked uncle Andrew

Sehun and Wendy exchanged glances. they didn’t  dare to say anything, their glances meant "this is extremely terrible" and "we have to persuade him."

“if you let us go out to dinner now, we can come back here later.” Wendy tried to persuade him.

“ah, but how can I be sure you will do that?” asked uncle Andrew with a sly smile. and apparently he changed his mind.

“well well, if you really must go, I think you should go. I can’t expect  two youngsters like you would be interested in talking with an old man like me.” he rudely breathed then continued,

“you absolutely can’t  imagine how lonely I sometimes am. but not a problem. go dinner. but I'll give you a gift before you go. not every day I get to see a little girl in my dingy room, especially, if I may be frank, a very pretty young lady like yourself.” He eyed shifty at Wendy.

Wendy began to think that maybe he was not totally insane.

“wouldn’t you like a ring, my dear?” asked uncle Andrew to Wendy.

“do you mean one of those yellow and green rings? you are so kind!” said Wendy happily.

“not a green one” he said, “unfortunately I can not give a green ring. but I would be delighted to be able to give one of the yellow rings, along with my love. come on, try one of them.”

Wendy now had quite mastered her fear and convinced that the old man was not mad. Moreover, certainly there is something strangely appealing by the shiny rings. Wendy began to move closer to the tray.

"oh, gee ... The humming noise sounds louder here. almost as if the rings sound it out” said Wendy.

“funny fancy, my dear” said Uncle Andrew with a laugh. The laughter sounded like a very ordinary, but Sehun saw an excited-almost greedy expression on his face.

“Wendy! Don’t be fool!” he screamed. “don’t touch those rings!”

It was late. just as Sehun shouted, Wendy’s hand outstretched to touch one of the rings. and suddenly, without any flash of light, sound, or any warning, Wendy disappeared. Sehun and his uncle be left alone.

A GOOD GHOST.

Wednesday, July 17th 20XX.

That morning we were all happy because we finally moved to a larger house. More larger and wider than the previous one. We all senior students in a prestigious university in a city that doesn’t need to be mentioned in this short story. Previously, we lived in a small house located in a noisy environment so that we couldn’t learn in peace for our study. That was the reason why we moved to another house.

There were 3 of us, or in fact there are still 3 of us. My name is Baekhyun. 3 others named Sehun, Jaehyun and Chanyeol.  We bought the house from an old mysterious man who offered the house right when we were talking about plans to moved somewhere. He put up a very cheap price for the house. it was clear we were immediately interested in buying it. Then, we asked for money to our parents in case to bought the house. My parents were quite surprised when they heard how cheap the price of the house was. My father had told me not to be careless in choosing a house. he seemed suspicious. But his advice was ignored by me.

Sehun said his parents said the same, even worse. When they saw the house pict, they said the house was haunted by something. It was enough to make us shuddered at the beginning, but we laughed it off because we thought it was very silly.

The first night, the second night and the third night all went normally. We did our business as usual and no strange thing happened. There are times I thought of my father's advice and waffle and hence shuddered. though normal, I did feel there is something odd in the house.  The house was too broad, too fancy, too classical for the affordable pricing. Very big. More bigger than you can imagine. It has (yea it still exists up to this day) a large yard and rear, a basement and three floors above. The house can accomodate 100 people, ah no, even more than that. During the first month, we didn’t hire workers to clean the house. We couldn’t browse the entire contents of the house. Even untill this day, untill this story is written, i don’t know all the locations perfectly.

In the second month, we hired two helpers. They were two middle-aged women who came to offered  themselves for works when the four of us were playing basketball in the front yard. We were surprised and we welcomed them well. They were friendly. they worked part-time. So they came in the morning every day and went home at dusk. It took about two full months until the entire rooms in the house were cleaned.
Abnormal things began in the fourth month. At that time we were eating dinner while watching TV at the center room when we heard the sound of broken glass from the kitchen.
“is it mrs.Blake?” Jaehyun asked around.

“no, i dont think so. Mrs.Blake just got back several minutes ago. I saw her passed over the front gate” Chanyeol replied.

“i’ll go and check it” Sehun voluntereed as he started his steps to the kitchen.
I remained seated and continued my eating while others were busy with the noise. I was calm even though my heart felt uncomfy. Sehun got back with his finger bleed.

“are you okay” i asked him while staring at his finger.

“yep. no big deal. I cleaned up the broken glass and my finger was accidentally scratched.” He explained cooly as he walked to the P3K box, taking an Elastoplast and then back to his seat.

we continued our dinner with conversations about the noise that had just occurred.
We slept in different rooms. Jisan was rooming with Chanyeol and me with Sehun. Me and Sehun swapped stories before we sleep.

“do you believe that ghosts are real?” i started.
“yes, of course. I've experienced some unpleasant incidents with them” he replied.
“mind to share with me?” i beg him.

“one of them just happened 2 hours ago, in our basement” he started explained.

I made up my eyes

“are you kidding me? Seriously” i got shocked.

“seriously. I swear. I had accidentally discovered this house and tried to went to the basement. There, I smelt something unusual. Suddenly, when I wanted to investigate further, Mrs.Blake emerged from the door and shouted at me. She said that I’m not allowed to do something stupid around this house and told me to get back up or I'm gonna spend the rest of my life full of regrets. I went along. However, when I was about to climb the stairs to above, there was a flash, what is it.. hmm I don’t know how to call it. I certainly felt something went by behind me, making me shiver. And also, earlier, I feel stupid if we believe that the glass could fall by itself. When I went into the kitchen, I noticed that the glasses are set away from the edge of the closet. I feel there is something odd in this house. Something invisible. Something that appeares in this month. and strangely, Something that appears when I just opened the basement. It wont stop just by here. I can feel it.”

PRANGGGGGG

We were unpleasantly surprised. Someone seemed just threw our window with some rocks. Me and Sehun, both of us were in deep silent. No voice was sounded. No movement were shown. Sehun wanted to moved and sneaked off but I held him out.

“not now. too risky.” I reminded him.

He nodded as backs to his bed and lying on it. We tried to sleep but could not. I refused when Sehun wanted to turned off the lights. I had never seen a ghost and didn’t intend to saw any of them.

“I  don’t remember seeing any clock in this house. so far, we only wear watches as a time guide” Sehun began to fear, as well as myself.

DOR DOR DOR....

Our room door was knocked by someone. We were frozen and did nothing.

“keep still” i commanded him.

He nodded. Our door was keep knocked by someone out there. I could feel my heart was beating quickly.

“OPEN THE DOOR YOU STUPID ASS. I’M ABOUT TO DIE” someone screamed. It was Jaehyun’s voice.

Me and Sehun jumped out of our beds and rushed to the door. I unlocked the door nervously. There was none. There was no one behind the door. We looked at each other, wondering what just happened. Suddenly, our window was slowly knocked by someone.

“RUN!!!!” Sehun screamed. We were running to the dining room. We were sweating. shortly afterwards, there were footsteps went toward us in the dark. It was Jaehyun.

“did you see Chanyeol? I had to get up and pee and when I came back, I didn’t  see him in our room.” Jaehyun asked sleepily. “and why are you guys sweating?” he continued while yawning.

I pulled Jaehyun and made him sit on a chair. Sehun told him everything that just happened to us.

“no kidding. This is the most terrible night ever. I even saw a strange reflection in the mirror when I pee.” he said in dismay.

“what reflection did you see?” sehun asked.

“I'm not sure, but I remember it looked like a girl” Jaehyun explained.

When we're busy discussing it, the lights suddenly dimmed slowly.

“what is it now?” sehun spoke in frustation.

All the lights went out and suddenly someone shouted in darkness. It was Chanyeol’s voice. The heavy one. Jaehyun wanted to hurry away, but I and Sehun held him out.

“this was happened to us earlier. Don’t fall for it. Keep still and do nothing” I ruled him.

That sound was increasingly loud and seemed to be in trouble or in pain or great fear. Jaehyun couldn’t stand it. He ran alacrity. Me and Sehun were shocked and run chased him. Jaehyun ran to the basement. Indeed, that was where the sound  coming from.

“don’t  go there you idiot!” Sehun screamed. But too late, Jaehyun was running down the stairs to the basement.

We followed him. Jaehyun keep paced, getting closer to the sound source. The sound brought us to a door. There was an underground room. Jaehyun opened it.

There was a girl in white,  with shoulder-length hair, smiled at us. she was very cute.

“hello there” she greeted us.

I looked around, Chanyeol was  lying on the corner of the room, unconscious.

“sorry to have bothered you and brought you here. But I can not reveal myself apart in this room.”  She spoke calmly.

“do not worry, your friend is sleeping. he is my friend. we talk every day. he is very kind. That's the reason why I brought you here.” She continued.

“what damn reason?” Jaehyun asked harshly.

“if he’s not kind, you all might have been killed. By me” she grinned. “usually, those who dare to open the basement door will instantly be killed by me. But not for you guys. It’s because of him” she smiled cutely.

“my name is Wendy” she introduced herself.

“i died 5 years ago. I was in the same age as you guys. I was a happy girl but my insane papa killed me” she spoke sadly.

“that was my papa who offered you this house.” She explained.

“so, you have killed many people” Chanyeol spoke. Seemed he just woke up from his silent sleep.

“woke up already, channie?” she asked Chanyeol softly.

“answer my question” Chanyeol spoke coldly. “i thought you were human”

She shook his head. “just kidding. ghosts can't kill people.” she laughed.

“then, what do you want from us?” i asked her.

“i want you guys to get out of this house. please, I dont’ want to be bothered by anyone.” She spoke seriously.

“only that?” sehun asked.

She nooded. “i’ll give you a week to do that.” suddenly she dissapeared.

We moved a week later. We didnt sell the house. Even up to this day we still havent sold it to anyone. We want her to live her astral life happily.

So, Chanyeol was the first one to opened the basement door. He opened it when the first time we arrived at the home. He went further and found the room. He also found the girl but he was seeing her as a human. She said that she was a little girl who had a serious illness so that she couldn’t get out of that room. He asked Chanyeol to kept silent about it. That night was the peak. She knew that she would not be with Chanyeol forever. So she prefered to let us go. She was the one who made all the sounds and voices we heard that night. She even showed herself as a reflection to Jaehyun through a mirror.

The house is still there up to this day. Chanyeol sometimes travels alone and retursn home with a happy smile. he always says that Wendy is fine. Wendy is a good-hearted ghost ever.

-THE END-

UNPREDICTABLE EXPERIENCE

I feel the breeze blowing pretty hard tonight.
I can feel it down to my bones and it is making me nauseous.
Nausea because of what? because of that one incident.
Yes, the horror one that occurred in mid-winter last year.
The incident that is impossible to be forgotten.
Now, i’m not a cheerful-bright person like the old me.
I can’t laugh loudly anymore.
I can’t even be a friendly person the way i was.

Because the fact is, I was bothering them at that time and therefore they became angry at me.
Even up to this day, they still mad at me.
They even took my closest friend.

By the word “they” i mean those who are invisible and inaccessible unless you have enough courage To approach them. and if you're already quite close to them, you're going to wake them up and they will see you as a destroyer. and that's when your life will be destroyed by them.

For them, you’re nothing but a loser who dare to disturb their lives.
They won’t give you any forgiveness.
They’re not gonna feel sorry for you.
And most importantly, they won’t let you spend the rest of your life with happiness.

Cruel, aren’t they?
No forgiveness, no mercy, no happiness should be given to whom they crush.

Once you disturb them, your life will be destroyed immediately.

Their anger is not a little anger. in anger, they will destroy everything you have.
They will not only focus on yourself, but also on everything that is close to you and dear to you. your friends, your parents, your family, your pets, your jobs, all of it will be taken from you and you will be the left one at the end.

When the moment comes, you're the one who will beg to be destroyed and they will destroy you voluntarily based on your own request.

When you read this, I might have hung right above the table where the diary contains this paper is laid.

life is hard. especially if you have a problem with them. it seems there is no more reason for living anylonger. That's how I feel. all faded, all seems futile and meaningless.

Incident like mine does not need to be repeated. You, whoever you are, do not ever think at all to experience the same thing as me!
If you do the same, I’m the one who’s gonna destroy you because there’s no need for me to write this sort of thing if no one obeys my warning!
I’m going to tell you in detail how the incident occurred. but once again I reiterate to you, I am writing this so that this incident won’t be repeated twice.

That afternoon was a gray afternoon in a Thursday in December last year. Nothing was wrong, not a single thing looked suspicious as both of my eyes could remember. I was daydreaming my afternoon, untill finally my phone rang, signaling that I got a text message from someone. It was from my best pal, 5'8" tall, styled brown hair with his beautiful green eyes named Oh Sehun. he asked me to went out to an interesting place with him. I wondered to myself about what kind of interesting place that made Sehun felt interested. I replied him, saying my agreement as long as it didn’t pass 9pm.

we arranged to met in front of an old motel on the edge of town. It was exactly at 5 pm when I got in front of the old motel. it was very dark, so dark. I thought something big would be happened that day. I felt it, but I denied it all by saying to myself that I would be fine. Not long after that, Sehun appeared and we set up a small plan. I was somewhat surprised when Sehun said that we would do a thrilling adventure. he said we had to fight against our own fears and he assured that all would be fine. I went along, although I thought there was something odd from Sehun, his eyes were implying something veiled. something invisible. I felt it.... and it was not a good thing. we planned to entered into the motel. when the atmosphere was very tense and discouraging me, I appealed to Sehun but too bad, he rejected me and called me a chicken. I was intimidated by his mocking. I didn’t stay calm.

“Well okay we go! I'll prove that I'm not a coward!" I shouted angrily. He nooded his head a few times while grinning happily.

“Don’t show your cowardice to me. I hate it. we are almost at the peak of glory. so calm down a bit" he said in a commanding tone as he looked around.

“Yea, up to you, dude. but can we settle this as fuck soon as possible? I don’t want to linger in this creepy-smooky place.” I grumbled.

He pursed his black jacket while his green eyes sweeping the whole site. He clucked impatiently. I glanced at him and immediately realized that something was wrong with him.

“are you okay?” I asked him in probing tone. “You look restless. your face looks like you’re holding shit”

“how can i be okay? I’m excited” he replied coldly.

“your face not telling me that you’re excited, bruh. Instead, you look like someone who’s on the verge of death and knows that he’ll soon meet the grim reaper. No joke added. I’m serious” I was glancing at him once more. he looked chaotic. he mused, staring toward the motel. but the next second, a thin smile appeared on his face.

"Let's go in, and solve all the mysteries that are there" he said firmly as he stepped toward the motel.

"wait a minute" a smooth voice spoke behind us as we got to the motel’s door.

we turned round quickly and found a beautiful girl standing gracefully, dressed gothically. She had a pair of blue eyes, as blue as the ocean. Her skin was pale white, as pale as the motel’s wall. and her voice was soft but tense, like the current situation. I was flabbergasted. for a moment, there was no voice that said, echoing wind seemed sang a song that was playing with the horror of death. I glanced toward Sehun for a moment, and he seemed totally stunned by the presence of the gothic girl. I could see the anger radiating from him. His green eyes seemed put out a raging fire. But then, he smiled. It was a horrible smile, which addressed to the girl. Rather than a smile, it looked more like a meaningful grin. The girl replied with a warm smile, as warm as the weather in mid-spring. I was not happy with the situation at the time. My legs trembled. My heart was pounding and my blood rippled quickly. I wanted everything to be passed speedily so that I could go home.

“affairs both of us don’t have anything to do with you. You don’t need to interfere.” Sehun spoke coldly. His heavy voice sounded as if he was holding a rage.

“but my momma and papa would be upset if you bother them. you should not set feet to this place” she said in sadly tone.

“the hell with your parents. we come here with an important goal. Go away, crafty girl! we don’t need any words from you” Sehun snapped her harshly.

“dude, maybe we should listen to her. Who knows if she meant by momma and papa is a couple of cruel ghosts that haunt this old motel?” I whispered to Sehun with extreme caution.

“are you crazy? Are you fooled by your own fears?” Sehun spoke sharply as he glared at me.

“oh, come on. Who the fuck is not afraid to be in this creepy motel? Think rationally, man! Use your brain though it’s empty” I shouted furiously at Sehun. I kicked the old motel’s wall. I couldn’t stand it anylonger.

Sehun sat silently on the floor. he clenched his hands as he closed his eyes. I glared at him madly while waiting for his next action.

“my deep apologize, Baekhyun. But our plan isn’t going to be canceled. I won’t stop here. I’ll pass over the door and explore the motel. It’s up to you whether you wanna join me or nah” Sehun stood up and glanced at me.

“I'm with you, dude. no matter what.” I spoke firmly while smiling.

“I'm not going to let you two go alone. I'll be with you until the end. you've been ignoring my appeal. I wish to see you die miserable in there. momma and papa would certainly be happy to see you.” The girl smile calmly as she walked toward us.

I felt threatened by the words she had just spoken.
“fuck you, crazy-ghotically-insane girl. up to you. I fear nothing but myself” Sehun spoke harshly. he glanced lazily toward the girl. his glance met with a warm smile from the girl.

I just kept silent. no single piece of word came out from my thin lips.

Sehun pushed the motel door. The creak of the door fulfilled the air. a black-Tshirt and brown coat that i wore that day were being floaded by the sweat flowing from my neck and chest. The atmosphere inside was so dark. we slowly stepped inside. My steps were full of deep anxiety, as if all the happiness vanished from this earth. I only had the shadow of death in my mind.

As we reached the middle of the room, the door shut itself hardly so sudden. we gasped. gothic girl disappeared somewhere. I became increasingly uncomfortable. My heart was almost sanked.

“keep calm and do nothing. About the door, i’m perfectly sure it was her. She’s frightened” Sehun spoke quitely.

Sehun was trying to be calm but in fact he was not calm at all.

I did not answer anything. I looked around. my gaze was fixed on an old European style painting with shiny frame hanging on the wall. there was an old man with mustache and beard. beside him, stood a middle-aged woman dressed in pink. and in front of them, a girl dressed in black with navy blue eyes were sitting pretty.

“SHIT.” I widened my eyes, stunned with fear.

“what’s that?” Sehun up to me and followed my gaze. He aroused and stare blankly at the painting.

“now we really should go back” I spoke firmly as I walked away.

Right when I stepped my left foot, I saw the gothic girl standing in front of me, smiling softly at me.

“why are you in a hurry? I would like to invite you to play. I have no friends. My old friend was gone.” she pouted her lips cutely while holding a teddy bear that had been worn and dusty. and slowly, she walked over me.

“Sehun, go walk slowly over here, mate” I called Sehun but there was no answer. I looked back, Sehun wasn’t there.

I turned back to the front, and I found that gothic girl was only a few centimeters in front of me. Her blue eyes bewitched me.

“I like you. but I hate your friend. He doesn’t like me from the outset” She talked softly. Her thin-pinky lips attracted me.

I was trying to not be affected.
“do you know where my dude is?” i asked her softly

She put her left hand on my waist and rubbed my chest using her right hand. “he’s playing around with momma and papa. oh look, you're sweating. let me take off your coat” She whispered in my ear while taking off my coat gently.

“take me to my dude” I asked her briefly.

She breathed unhurried, then held my hand gently.

“run, Baekhyun! run! flee, you idiot!” Sehun was screaming in pain and tried to run. I rushed to him, but too late. there are two people who swiftly pulled him from behind. Those two people were the man and woman in European style painting.

“look to the back! open your eyes! She’s not pretty at all. She’s cruel as fuck!” Sehun’s voice slowly disappeared behind the door. I looked back. she was no longer friendly and warm. he looked at me intently.

I ran and went to the door where Sehun withdrawn. I opened the door. Sehun’s legs were being skinned and his arms scratched wearing a sharp knife by those people.

I went ahead and pulled Sehun’s arm. I kicked the old man but failed. he was too strong. he hit my face so that I bounced into the wall. Blood flowed down from my head ... I saw that gothic girl carrying a chainsaw and with a warm smile, he cut Sehun’s mouth by using the saw. I yelled as loud as possible.............

“WAKE UP YOU IDIOT” I feel the splash of water over my head.

“School starts in an hour. Take shower and get ready” my mother grumbles as she pats my shoulder then walks out my room.

“just a dream, huh?”

My phone rings.
